After qualifying from Bristol University Olivia spent her vocational training year here at Savernake Dental. Following general practice, she went on to be a Senior House Officer on the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery team at the Royal United Hospital in Bath. Here she gained experience in extractions of tricky teeth as well as treatment of more complex facial injuries whilst working in accident and emergency.
In 2015 she was awarded the membership of the Joint Dental Faculties (MJDF) diploma from the Royal College of Surgeons in London. Having made the decision to return to general practice the team at Savernake were extremely pleased to welcome her back.
She is passionate about training and ongoing education to provide patients treatment at the highest possible standard using the most up to date materials and evidence based techniques.
Olivia has recently been accepted onto a Master’s programme at Bristol University where she will be gaining more experience and expertise in aspects of postgraduate dentistry including Periodontics (gum disease), Endodontics (Root Canals) and Conscious Sedation (treatments that can help nervous patients). Olivia currently offers conscious sedation at Savernake to treat nervous or anxious patients achieve the smile they want.
Olivia likes to make all her patients feel happy and confident when they smile and tailors her treatments to suit each patient’s individual needs. She strives to create a friendly, welcoming environment in her surgery to ensure her patients feel completely at ease.
As well as meeting each patient’s dental needs, she enjoys offering patients treatments to enhance their face and smile. She offers subtle Clear aligners for adults to treat crowded or crocked teeth, in combination with tooth whitening, this can make a fabulous change to someone’s smile.
She also offers facial rejuvenation and is fully qualified to use muscle relaxing injectables e.g Botox ® and dermal fillers for the treatment of wrinkles.
In her spare time (when she has some) Olivia enjoys spending time walking her dog Sophie and rescuing battery hens. She also tries to spend as much time as possible visiting family in Devon and Ireland.
